Common Questions

Answers Before You Ask

If your question isn’t here, write to us — we would rather answer it properly than have you guess.

We most commonly ship EXW, FOB and CIF, and can quote CFR or DAP on request. If you have a freight forwarder you already use, FOB is usually the cleanest arrangement — we deliver to your nominated port and hand over to them.

Swatches usually dispatch within two working days. Sampling against a new specification takes roughly one to two weeks. Bulk production depends on the silk and volume, but two to five weeks after sample approval is typical.

Minimums vary by silk and by whether you need a custom shade or weave. Standard qualities can be supplied in smaller quantities than custom-woven orders. Tell us your volume and we will confirm honestly whether it is workable.

Every lot is inspected before dispatch for shade against the approved sample, weight, width and visible defects. If a lot does not match the approved standard, it does not ship.

Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and any inspection or fumigation certificates your destination requires. Tell us the import requirements and we will prepare the set accordingly.

Advance payment or letter of credit are standard for first orders. We are open to discussing revised terms once a working relationship is established.

In most cases yes. Send us a physical sample rather than a photograph — we will weave against it and send a counter-sample for your approval before bulk.
