Silk Yarns

Muga Silk Yarns

Assam’s rare golden silk — exceptionally durable, with a sheen that deepens over time.

About the Silk

What Makes Muga Silk Yarns Different

Muga is produced only in Assam, from Antheraea assamensis, and is the rarest silk in our programme. Its natural golden colour is intrinsic to the fibre, and unlike most textiles it becomes glossier with washing and age.

Because volumes are genuinely limited, Muga is allocated rather than stocked. Tell us your requirement early and we will confirm availability against the rearing season.
